Data storage
Children, settings and activities can be stored in JSON files or in MySQL. Users, YubiKeys and these connection settings always stay in local files so you can always log in and switch back.
Sync JSON ⇄ MySQL
Merge combines both: anything missing is added to the other side, and for a child that exists in both the most recently changed record wins. Merge does not copy deletions, so a deleted child or activity can come back. Use a copy option when you want one side to become exactly like the other.
YubiCloud settings
Keys are checked with Yubico's validation service (internet needed). For signed, tamper-proof checks, get a free client ID and secret key at upgrade.yubico.com/getapikey. Without them, unsigned requests are used.
